The shops have been super busy with Mother’s Day orders - so much that the Flutter Butterfly Pop Up Card became out of stock! Woah!

Both the regular online shop and Etsy store will be closed May 6th thru May 12th. Folks can still place orders during that time but those orders will not ship until after May 13th. Crankbunny needs some time to catch up on some other projects and deal with inventory. Also, I have a medival doctor’s note that says “Ye shall not deal with procrastinators for the sake of thy own sanity”.
SO…. please read the following:

All orders placed May 6 - May 12 will start shipping May 13.
All orders placed before May 6 will ship by May 7th.
All orders placed before May 6 should arrive in time for Mother’s Day in the USA only.

All out of stock pop up cards and paper toys will be available after May 13th.

See, I love all things paper… but there are some things I don’t touch. Just like some drug users don’t go near certain substances. You can get real weird on paper theaters ( plus only a handful of people in the world would get it and you’d be stuck there in paper Mordor with them). Paper Theaters are beautiful but their historical and IMMENSE breath of crafty artistic nature is a whole other ball game when it comes to nerding out on paper.

BUT “if” one where to start their creative journey into paper theaters - it would have to be in person. Specifically in London in two different places : The Pollocks Toy Museum and the Benjamin Pollock’s Toy Shop.

Both are two separate but friendly entities where one can see a PLETHORA of different theatre types and parts.

What’s also lovely about the museum is their collection of other toys ranging from puppets, mechanical & optical toys, doll houses and tin toys.

Also at the shop, they have a huge collection of new theatres for sale. If you go there - do expect to get your mind blown into putty trying to decide which one you’d like to buy. It’s gonna be tough. Have a loved one hold your wallet before you go in.

Both the Crankbunny online store and Etsy store are stocked up once more. Took two weeks (jeeez… i know), but there are plenty more handmade pop up cards, paper dolls and robot toys! Yay!

Let it be known that “Robobbie the Electric Love” paper robot toy- is now available again for birthdays, parties, weddings, bar mitzvahs and general good times.

From Feb 4th to Feb 16 both the regular online Crankbunny store and the Etsy shop will be closed. You can still place orders at the Crankbunny store but any orders taken between Feb 4 - Feb 16th will start shipping Feb 17.

Sorry about this! I got hit pretty hard with Valentine orders and ran out of printing, paper, supplies, bananas, you name it…. My work space looks like a bomb exploded.

The shop is running out of supplies (not to mention time & lack of sleep) so….

The Etsy shop will close Monday Feb 4th until Feb 17. Please place any Etsy orders you’d like to make before then.

The regular Crankbunny online store will remain open until Thursday Feb 7th.

The Etsy shop is not taking any more custom / rush orders. If you’d like to do a shipping upgrade on an order please use the regular Crankbunny Shop to place an order. This post is about the postal increase for 2013. It is boring - but I’m sure as coconuts on palm trees that many of my non-US customers are going to ask
“Why is the shipping so much?! That is ridiculous!”

You know what - it is. It is absolutely ridiculous that the shipping costs for all my customers in the UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore and beyond have doubled starting Jan 27th 2013. Do not take it personally.

Example : What use to cost 6.50 to ship - now costs 12.75 (and that does not include the cost for the packaging).

Sadly, there is nothing the Crankbunny shop can do about the new shipping costs USPS has set. There is no magic wand to lower the cost.
UPS and FEDEX are even more expensive.

What was a very reliable economic way to ship neat paper goodies around the globe is sadly no more. All orders must be shipped rigid or boxed so the paper goods in them stay flat and do not arrive damaged or bent. Package rates got a 100% increase this year.

**The only positive thing about this rate increase is that now international packages will have tracking( sort of… not really ).

Crankbunny and Brian Ewing (el’famoso rock poster bearded wizard man) collaborated awhile back on a custom scratch off card called the Tell-Tale Heart Rib Cage Heart Scratch Off Card. It was out of print for most of last year - but now its back on sale for valentine’s day!**

Nothing wrong with a little updating and finessing of a pop up card that is awesome — but could be even MORE awesome with tiny tweaks based on buyer input!** This winter I updated the very popular Butterfly pop up card.

This pop up card is of a garden with a beautiful butterfly that flaps and flies when you pull a tab back & forth. The tab is a small hinged leaf which turns out. The largest leaf folds out to a white area where one can write something special.

It is pretty much the same card - but I added some more garden artwork to the card. I also fixed some of the mechanical glitches that occur when having a pop up card with delicate moving paper parts.

This standard greeting size (A7 5x7) popup card is handmade. It also now has a new emblem on the envelope with space for writing.

It is very difficult to guarantee delivery by a certain date with orders shipping outside the US because of travel time and customs procedures that the Crankbunny shop has no control over. The dates below are suggested. Please pay close attention to these dates when placing an order. Please also take into consideration time zone differences between your country and the US. No refunds will be given for packages that arrive late even with a shipping upgrade.

When Will My Order Ship?

All Orders Ship Within 3 Business Days**

An order will never ship out the same day, nor do they usually ship out the next day either unless arranged with the shop. You can send an email / convo to see if the order can be bumped up in the line to go out earlier - it’s usually possible depending on the item.

The exception to the 3 Business Day rule is an order containing a Robobbie Paper Toy Robot. He will ship withing 3 to 5 business days.

When Will I KNOW My Order Ships?

An email will be sent to the email address you checked out with all your nifty shipping tracking information. Please check your spam/trash folder if you don’t see the email.

Can You Send My Order Directly to My Valentine?

Absolutely - just make sure that the shop knows not to include any flyers / invoices with your order. Non-US buyers should do the following though —Check that you have the exact correct address for that person. There is no tracking for international non-US packages and there is no refund unless shipping insurance is purchased. Sadly every year there are a few situations where a customer’s valentine gift never arrives and their Valentine says they never received anything. Most of the time is because the address was incorrect (::insert sad clown face::).
